Villa Tudor in Rosport

brief description:

Built in the late 19th century following the plans of the inventor Henri Tudor, the building, today, serves as the administrative headquarters of the commune of Rosport. The wonderfully renovated Villa Tudor is located amidst a lavish park with a lake. With its whitewashed facade and its stone-framed doors and windows, the mansion has a certain British ambiance to it. Connected to the three-storey main building is a smaller annexe which presumably used to serve as garage. The interior of Villa Tudor houses the modern and functional office spaces of the communal administration while trying to preserve a certain original, historic character. The foyer, for example, still exudes the old splendour of the fin de siècle. An access road leads to the main entrance with perron and, next to it, a covered veranda. Easy access, ample parking.
