tucked away in the very heart of the northern Vosges Mountains, between Sarrebourg, Phalsbourg and Saverne, is the small village of Dabo. Its main monument is the Rocher de Dabo, an impressive red sandstone rock, which stands 647 metres tall and is surmounted by the Chapelle St. Léon, a chapel dedicated to Pope Leo IX. The hotel-restaurant au Rocher, as its name implies, sits at the foot of the rock. It offers regional fare and can accommodate up to 180 persons. Tour groups are welcome guests, and the large parking lot is suitable for motor-coaches.
