nestled amidst high forest woodland, Losheim Reservoir is beautifully situated in the low mountain range, 330 m above sea level. After two years of construction, the reservoir was opened to the public as a swimming and leisure lake. With a water surface of over 31 ha, the reservoir measures 1200 m in length, 400 m, at most, in width, and 14 m at its deepest point. At normal backwater level, its capacity amounts to 1,5 million . On the side of the dyke, the reservoir (which is surrounded by a 3,8 km asphalted promenade) borders the town of Losheim
