Thiaucourt-Regniéville is a commune in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Lorraine region of north-eastern France. The German Military Cemetery was founded at the beginning of World War I. The bodies of 11.685 soldiers are buried here. 2.980 German soldiers, of which 2.645 are unknown, were laid to rest in a common grave. The cemetery also houses the sepulchres of identified and unidentified French soldiers. There is a section with a few dozen tombs dedicated to the French-German War of 1870/71.
