Biotope of Beeden

description

brief description:

The biotope of Beeden is home to numerous animal species, e.g. tail cattle, water buffaloes, and Konik horses are used extensively for grazing. Even the white stork feels comfortable here. The biotope was created artificially with floodplains, wet brooks, pasture bushes and valley slate fields. Each year, pairs of storks are breeding here, which can be observed by two different observation platforms. Many birds also set up their rest here in the Höllengraben: silvery, dwarves, fish eagles, cranes and many more. The "Beeder Biotopverein" takes care of the biotope. The 4 km long "Biotope-Kultur-Rundweg Beeden" starts at the viewpoint between the sports arenas "Am Sandweg".
